About me
My name is Paulina, originally from Northern Germany, and I've been living in Bergen since 2024. The breathtaking nature, the Norwegian culture, and life between the fjords and the mountains captivated me so much that my semester abroad turned into emigration, and Bergen has become my new home.
Today I combine my passion for Norway with my work as a guide, as well as with language courses and personal consultations. I am also pursuing a Master's degree in Education at the University of Bergen, specializing in History, Geography, and German.
In my free time, I love being outdoors, hiking in the mountains, skiing in winter, or ice swimming. When the weather is too warm for indoors, you'll usually find me knitting or baking cinnamon rolls. I'm excited to share my passion for Norway with you and show you my adopted home from a personal perspective.

Start of teacher training studies in Greifswald
By beginning my teacher training studies at the University of Greifswald, I laid the foundation for my current path. I am studying geography and history, and in doing so, I discovered my passion for imparting knowledge and for intercultural exchange.
Moving to Norway
As part of an Erasmus semester, I moved to Bergen at the beginning of 2024 and immediately fell in love with the city, the stunning scenery, and the Norwegian way of life. What was planned as a stay abroad quickly became a new home. I now live in Bergen, study at the University of Bergen, and enjoy the unique combination of city life, fjords, and Bergen itself.
Guide training & founding of Franksmann Fjord & Fjell
To share my passion for Norway professionally, I completed a guide training course from January to April 2026. During this time, I deepened my knowledge of history, culture, nature, and the safe conduct of tours. Simultaneously, I founded Franksmann Fjord & Fjell to offer visitors authentic experiences, personalized tours, language courses, and consulting services related to Norway.
Guide in Bergen & Westlandet
Since May 2026, I have worked as a certified guide in Bergen and the Vestlandet region, accompanying guests on city tours, hikes, and individual excursions. It is particularly important to me not only to show sights but also to bring stories, culture, and everyday Norwegian life to life. As a German- and English-speaking guide with good Norwegian skills, I look forward to inspiring people with my adopted home and showing them Bergen from a personal perspective.
